En el Día Internacional de la Mujer, dedico esta reseña a todas aquellas mujeres valientes, decididas, perseverantes que desde tiempos inmemorables han luchado arduamente por conseguir igualdad, justicia, respeto, que valoren nuestro trabajo y esfuerzo, como la protagonista de este fantástico libro.
Las librerías de mi país quisieron que este fuera mi primer libro de Jacqueline Winspear, aún cuando es el 8vo de la serie de Maisie Dobbs. Sin embargo, eso no entorpece su entendimiento, hay una línea general que une a este con los otros siete, pero la historia es sí de A Lesson in Secrets es lo suficientemente independiente como para leerlo sin perderse.
La línea temporal llamó mi atención por ubicarse antes de la Segunda Guerra Mundial. Estoy acostumbrada a los libros que tienen lugar durante o después de la misma, leer una historia como esta fue algo nuevo; ver también como la protagonista del libro iba y venia como una mujer fuerte e independiente, sin dejar que nada la alejara de su objetivo y, más aún, que sus conocimientos fueran tomados en cuenta, necesitados y valorados, me encantó.
Lo recomiendo sin pensarlo, yo por lo pronto busco los primeros 7 ajajajaja.
